A BTFON Spot is a WiFi Hotspot created by a person who has installed a La Fonera+ router in the UK. All of BTFON Spot's signals are showed as “BTFON”.

BTFON Spots can be located through our Maps. To connect to one of them you need either a WiFi capable device with a web browser, it can be a laptop, a phone or a PDA (tested devices) or a device with a FON connection manager so that you need a browser to log in.

How to connect to a BTFON Spot

  • When you see a BTFON Spot signal in the list of available WiFi networks in the WiFi manager of your device, connect to it.
  • Open your web browser (IE, Firefox, Opera…) and go to any website i.e. www.wikipedia.org. You will be forwarded to the BTFON Captive Portal.
