The download manager allows you to remote your RapidShare and Megaupload downloads. Downloaded files will be stored on a "downloads" folder on the external Hard Drive of your choice. Just make sure the desired HDD is attached to the Fonera's USB port.

Prerequisites

In order to use the Download Manager you must have an external USB HDD connected to the Fonera. The Fonera will use this external HDD to store the downloaded files. Note: Using Flash memories may slow down downloads, however they can be used and are fully compatible with this feature. We recommend using FAT32 or EXT formats.

You will need a Megaupload or Rapidshare premium accounts to download files from Megaupload or Rapidshare. However you can also use the Download Manager for downloading any other downloadable material available on the Wed for which there is a direct link.

Get it set

1. Connect a USB Hard Drive or Pendrive to the Fonera 2.0 router

2. Click on the Download Manager icon on the Dashboard.

3. Click on the RS/MU Accounts icon and enter your Premium Megaupload/Rapidshare account details (username/password). Note: This step is only needed if you are going to download files from Rapidshare or Megaupload.

4. Go to the "Add Files" option.

5. Copy-Paste the RapidShare/Megaupload Links (or the direct link from other site) on the URL's textbox.

Usage

  • The current downloads will be displayed and you can add new files to be downloaded. You can also pause/resume your downloads.
  • The Settings menu allows you to select the target device, to define the number of simultaneous downloads and when the downloads should begin.

Troubleshooting

I get the following error when adding a Megaupload link to the Fonera 'Unable to download file...'

The following error: 'Unable to download file 'http://www.megaupload.com/xxxx': Received a webpage instead of a file. The file might have been deleted or you need a valid account to receive download this file.' means that you did not set your megaupload account to accept direct download.

To solve the problem: log in megaupload.com account and enable direct downloads option.
