FON Labs ist eine initiative von FON Wireless Limited die Programme und Webapplikationen entwickelt welche das 'digitale Leben' einfacher machen sollen oder einfach nur Spaß machen! Es ist ein kleines Dankeschön an die Web Community.

Die Programme von FON Labs sind Beta-Versionen und werden grundsätzlich ohne Support angeboten. Wenn ihr jedoch Fehler entdeckt, Anregungen habt oder einfach Euer Feedback geben möchtet, könnt ihr den Entwicklern auf Englisch oder Spanisch eine Email schreiben.

Ein 'Microblogging' Dienst für Bilder. Du kannst ein Foto hochladen und mit einem kurzen Kommentar versehen. Dies geht von der Webseite aus, per Email und mit speziellen für Mobile Geräte entwickelten Client-Programmen die den Upload des Fotos besonders einfach machen. Besonders viel Spass macht der Dienst natürlich, wenn man die Bilder sofort von unterwegs hochläd und so Freunde an dem teilhaben lässt, was man grade sieht. Wenn Deine Kamera oder Fotohandy die Bilder mit Ortsangaben (Geo-Lokalisierung) versieht, dann werden die Fotos gleich an der richtigen Stelle auf der Weltkarte eingetragen. www.twitxr.com

  • iFON If you have a liberated iPhone you can now go to Installer, Network and install iFon. iFon is an app that autoconnects you to Fon so if you are moving around areas that are heavily populated with Fonspots your iPhone begins to treat WiFi as if it were Mobile disconnecting and autoconnecting from Fonspot to Fonspot. While the process of connecting and disconnecting is worse than that of mobile networks the throughput that you get is much greater and is free. Get more info here.
