FON passes enable Alien Foneros to access Internet through FONSpots. FON passes provide consecutive minutes of connection from first use.
Aliens users can purchase FON passes at any FONSpot around the world.
FON Passes can NOT be purchased from fon.com or the userzone. They are only available at FON's Captive Portal.

How to buy
To purchase FON Passes you must be connected to a FON Spot:
- Switch on your laptop or WiFi device.
- You should then look to see if a "FON_" signal appears. If it's there connect to it.
- Then open a browser and "go" to any website i.e.: www.wikipedia.org. FON's captive portal will open.
- After you reach FON's captive portal, choose the product (pass), log in and follow the instructions.
Pay by Card
It’s incredibly simple. Just three steps after choosing the product:
- Select the payment method and log-in/register. If you are already registered log in with your FON account details (email/password). If you are new to FON create an account using the Express Registration form.
- You'll be redirected to the chosen online payment service.
- At the end of the payment process (if the transaction succeeds), the payment will be confirmed and the pass is shown. Activate the pass and start surfing. If you purchased a pack of 5 day passes, at this stage, you will start using just one pass and you will need to manually activate the other day passes for future connections. Remember that you can use the passes at any FON Spot world wide within a year (from purchase day).
Pay by SMS
It's a 3-steps process, after choosing the product:
- Log-in/register. If you are already registered log in with your FON account details (email/password). If you are new to FON create an account usin ghe Express Registration form.
- Select your Country and follow the instructions as will be shown.
- Finally, insert the eight-character connection code (you will receive one if the transaction succeeds), click the connect button and and the pass will show up. Activate the pass and enjoy your WiFi connection.
How to use a pass
If you already have credit (passes) in your account, you can use it to connect without having to buy additional passes.
- Connect to a FON Spot and "go" to any webpage i.e.: www.wikipedia.org, so that the FON Spot captive portal shows.
- Log in with you FON account details (email and password)
- The "Welcome back" page will appear. Your remaining credit is shown. Select the type of pass you want to use and click the "Connect" button to activate it. A countdown showing the remaining connection time will appear and you will be able to browse.
How to redeem a FON Pass Promo Code
- Click the REDEEM A PROMO CODE button at the lower left of the Captive Portal.
- The "Enter Promocode" page will appear. Once there enter your promo code and the characters in the captcha image.
- Finally click the Connect button and nd enjoy the WiFi connection.
