I-Line
- Since 2002 all Libraries, Schools, ... can get a subsidized internet line (adsl)

Network diagram
- These come with a router and a fixed ip.
- To install a Fonera you not only have to connect it to a free port
- You also need to give the Fonera a free fixed internet ip address
- On the router you can find a label describing the IP-range & gateway given to your I-line network
182.21.150.11-22
gateway : 182.21.150.1
The netmask would be something like "255.255.255.248"
- You can also best take a working pc in that network and get "command line" (start -> execute -> cmd)
Enter "cmd" in the text box
| Once at the command line, type "ipconfig /all"...
| ...and press the return key

- In our case the "DHCP ENABLED...." will be *NO*
Configuration Fonera
- you can configure the fonera via 2 methods
- connect to it's wireless Myplace using the serial number at the bottom of the La Fonera
- You can now connect to it's managment interface on 192.168.10.1
- Connect the Fonera directly to a pc which has DHCP enabled. This pc will become a member of a "limited" 169.254.255.x network
- You can now connect to it's managment interface on 169.254.255.1
- Go to Advanced -> Internet settings
- Switch it from DHCP to STATIC IP
- Enter a free ip adres (182.21.150.21)
- Netmask (255.255.255.248)
- Gateway 182.21.150.1
Access the management console
| Default username/password are admin/admin
| Go to 'Advanced' > Internet 'Settings'

Change the mode to 'Static IP'.
| Type in a valid IP, network mask for your LAN and your ISP's DNS server
