Hoe meewerken aan de FONwiki

We willen dat de FON Wiki de ultieme bron van alle documentatie omtrent FON en zijn produkten wordt. Ook alle info ivm WiFi is welkom.

Verschillende manieren om mee te helpen

De makkelijkste manier is spellingsfouten te verbeteren die je tegenkomt.
Vertalen (zie ook guidelines for translations)
- Help ons bestaande pagina's te vertalen naar jouw taal en/of verbeter bestaande pagina's. Je kut te vertalen pagina's herkennen aan de gele waarschuwing boven aan de pagina.
- Als je een pagina vindt, die niet bestaat in jouw taal, kun je die gaan maken.
- There are some pages which only exist in English, as it's reasonable to have them in one consistent version. If you would like to be responsible for keeping a consistent translation of such a page, please If it is the case, create the English page as well. If you are able to do a basic English translation this would be really nice, but it is not mandatory. contact the FON Wiki Team.
Voeg nieuwe informatie toe:
- Je kan nieuwe hoofdstukken, bettere uitleg, schermafbeeldingen of present your FON Spot toevoegen aan bestaande pagina's.
- Maak nieuwe pagina's met nieuwe inhoud, zoals pagina's voor het gebruik van nieuwe WiFi apparaten compatibility list, handleidingen voor locale ISP, of iets wat je niet kan plaatsen in de huidige pagina's. Als je een pagina , niet in het engels maakt, bedenkt dan dat het misschien voor anderen ook nuttig is om deze pagina ook in het engels te maken. Kijk voor informatie ook op: technical instruction.

Houd in je ahterhoofd: Dit is een kennis basis en niet een plek om je eigen mening te verkondigen. Als je je mening kenbbaar wil maken op feedback wilt geven, gebruik dan het forum FON Boards. Bedankt voor je begrip.

Talen

Op dit moment is FON Wiki alleen beschibaar in de volgende talen. Je kan je bijdrage leveren in het vertalen van deze talen. Je kan geen pagina's maken in andere talen. Als FON Wiki een succes is gaan we bekijken of we meer talen kunnen gaan toevoegen. We hebben daar verantwoordelijke vrijwilligers voor nodig. Als je geintresseerd bentneem contact met ons op.

Technische instructies

Maak een FON Wiki account

The first thing you need to change any content at the FON Wiki is a account

Click on the 'Log in/Create account' link in the upper right corner.
On the log in screen, go on to the 'create a new account' page.
Fill in the registration form. Use a valid email, as you have to confirm the registration. You will receive a Email with a link. Please check your SPAM box, if you don't receive anything. If you log in to your FON Wiki account, you can ask the system to resend this email.
When you confirmed the Email by clicking the link, you can start!

Maak een pagina

There are several ways to create a new page in a Wiki. We will explain you the easiest one (in our opinion):

Type http://wiki.fon.com/PageTitle in the address bar of your browser an click the "go" button.
1. Please, use short, self explaining, English titles.
2. If you create a page in any other of the supported languages, use the English title and append a '/country code' like in http://wiki.fon.com/PageTitle/de for German for example.
Now you can edit the page. After you saved the changes the first time, the page exists.
1. Add the following text lines on the top of any page you create:

[[Category:NL]] or the country code depending on the language
{{Missing Translation/nl}} use this template, if the translation is not completed

Defineer de taal van de pagina

When a page is created (saved the first time), the language of the page should be defined. By default the system supposes, that every new page is in English. So, if you created a page in another (available) language, please do the following:

Click on the 'Language tab'
Select the language that applies
Click on the 'Change the Language' button
In the 'List of available translations for this article:' section, ad the page title of the original English page.
Click on 'Add', so the system knows from which original page this is the translation.

Link je pagina

Once your page created and the language set you need to create a link that leads to it so that people can find your page. Add to an existing page (or several)

Use Discussion and Talk pages

Each page as a tab called 'Discussion'. It is a regular WiKi page meant to discuss changes that were performed (by yourself or others), changes that would be needed, like merging a page to another. Feel free to discuss any changes that you don't feel confident to do yourself there. You can add a time stamp by clicking on the '+'
