My FON for Alien users
My Messages Section
The My Messages section is basically a virtual messaging system in your My Fon Zone. It contains the ability to store contacts, compose messages, and track your received and written messages.

My Passes Section
The My FON passes area allows you to view how many passes you have available, your purchase history, and it is where you activate one of your passes when you connect to a FON Hotspot.

My Travel Log Section
The My Travel Log section allows you to track all the FON Hotspot you have connected to and to review your sessions. More information can be found here...
Change FON Profile
There is a "Change FON Profile" tab at "MyFON" and goto "My Personal Info". This is NOT to change your Fonero Status from 'Alien' to 'Bill' or 'Linus'. If you click on the "Change profile" button, you will be taken to the FON Shop.
Why? This is the first step to get a 'Bill' or 'Linus' - you need a FON router to provide a FON Spot.
So, how to change the Fonero status? Register the FON Router as described in the 'Quick Installation Guide' or here.

FON Spot Status Section
This handy feature shows (almost in real time) the status of all your La Fonera routers. This is section is specially useful when you are not at home (or at the same location as your La Fonera) but want to ensure it is allways running and available. It is also of great help if you ever experience any troubles for accessing the Internet thru since this will provide more information about the causes of the trouble. This is quicker than checking the maps for knowing your La Fonera status. If you have a single La Fonera router by clicking on this section will take you to the Locate your FON Router feature. If you own two or more La Fonera routers clincking on it will show the status of each and every of your routers.
FONERO GETS FONERO Section
The Fonero Gets Fonero promotion lets all those Linus and Bill Foneros from participating Countries (the offer is valid in the European Union, Norway, Switzerland, US and Canada)to invite their relatives and friends to get the La Fonera WiFi routers (up to 20 routers in total) for just €/$ 5.99.
In order to take advantage of the Fonero Gets Fonero offer all you need to do selecting this section by clicking on it and send out your invitations. Your friends will receive an email inviting them to order a La Fonera WiFi router for just €/$ 5.99 (including taxes but not shipping charges).
Remember, you must keep your La Fonera online to enjoy this program.

Configure your FON Router Section
Here you can change some of the La Fonera configuration settings like SSID names, WPA password, etc.

Change FON Profile / Get WiFi Money
This tab will be called 'Change FON Profile' whenever your current profile is 'Bill' and 'GET WIFI MONEY' when it's Linus.
You can change your profile from Linus to Bill (and vice versa) whenever you want.
To change the status, log in at 'MyFON' and goto 'My Personal Info'. Change to the 'Change FON Profile/Get Wifi Money' tab.
To switch from Linus to Bill, select 'Bill' as your preferred Fonero profile. If you have already a PayPal account, enter this account in the text field below. If you still don't have a PayPal account, you may also become a Bill, just leave the PayPal account field blank, in this last case it will be automatically filled with the text "DUMMY", this means your profile has successfuly changed to Bill nevertheless bear in mind you still need to enter a valid PayPal account so that FON can transfer you the WiFi money you cumulate. You will see the amount settled with your FON Spot in the 'WiFi Monney' section at 'MyFON'.
- Remember: If you finally reach the pay out limit of $/€ 20, you will need a PayPal account to get payed.
To change the PayPal account, simply enter the new one in the text box, and save your changes.
