Symbian Connection Manager
Nice thing about having a Nokia E-Series (except E50 sadly) is that FON created a fantastic app for managing your FON connections. A download for this app and a guide is available | here
Quick Connect
For when you're out and about its easy to connect using your ultra mobile E-Series handset. Simply press the Menu button
Select Web from the available icons to launch the web browser. Your phone should do one of two things. Launch a predefined Access Point which is usually using their network over their phone network, which can be costly at times or let you pick an Access Point. If this happens simply cancel the request once and you will have a blank webpage open in the browser. Press close on the right until you see the bookmarks page in the browser.
Select Options->Settings->Access Point->Always Ask.
Now restart your browser pressing Option and selecting Exit. Better to check that its set properly now rather then when you need it most.
By re-opening your browser the phone should automatically begin looking for a connection to connect to the internet with. It will give you a list of the predefined access points (more on this later) and the option to Search for WLAN
Available access points will be shown in a list on your phone. Select the best FON_ signal. If there is no FON_ signal available then you are not in range of one...You could also press refresh a few times to capture the signal when it's broadcasted.
HandyWi
Telesoftas has created a a freeware tool called Handywi which is free for use. After connection it will forward you to a Landing Page. It creates on SSID "Handywi APN" which can be used by your browser, email, VOIP, Synchronisation tools and many more! Only 1 SSID profile needs to be created & configured!
Devicescape
At devicescapeyou can find a Nokia capable client on their website!!! It also supports central managment of passwords. Define it centrally and use it on each of your wireless devices!
fring
