FON_AP : there is an Opera browser built in which is able to show the FON captive portal
MyPlace : The PSP only supports WPA and not WPA-PSK, thus you have to downgrade your fonera security to WEP if you want to connect to MyPlace (This statement applies system software version prior to 2.0 only. Current version has no problem to use WPA configuration.)
System software 2.00 (2005 Jul.) WPA-PSK(TKIP)support added
System software 2.50 (2005 Oct.)WPA-PSK(AES)support added
System software 3.10 (2007 Jan.) "Wireless hotspot" entry is added at network configuration menu
Howto
Make sure your router is active and online
Find a computer that can connect to FONs private network with no problems. (NOT your PSP)
Open up Internet Explorer / Safari / Firefox / Opera and type this into the address bar: 192.168.10.1. (Do this while connected to the private network)
The “FON Router Status” page should now appear. It should have all the info about your router, and a picture of “La Fonera”
Change the Encryption type to “WEP”
Next you should see 4 fields that say Key 1, Key 2, Key 3, Key 4. Insert your WPA password into Field 1. (The #’s on the back of your router)
Save your settings.
Scan for the connection with your PSP. Make sure it says WEP, enter your WEP key, and connect. :smileyvery-happy:
