Prerequisites
You have to have a external storage device attached to the Fonera where the torrent client will be installed and also the downloaded files will be stored. We recommend to use a hard disc and not a flash memory, as the application will create a virtual swap space and flash memory might slow down the process. Use a partion formated in FAT32 or EXT.
Be sure the disc is recognized and appears in the file manager.
Installation
1. Click on the Torrent icon on the Foneras dashboard.
2. A screen offering to install the Transmission Torrent Client appears. Click on "Install"
3. All available discs will be shown and you can select the one where you want to install the application. This will also be the disc where the torrent downloads will be saved to. Click on the disc you like.
4. The installation process will take about 2 minutes, then you will be able to launch the app: "Startup [discname]"
Usage
- Anytime you plug a disc with a installed torrent app to the Fonera, it will be detected and shown - simply click on the torrent icon on the Foneras dashboard and launch the app.
- The current downloads will be shown and you can add new torrents to be downloaded
- You also can launch the Transmission Web User Interface, so you get more options for configurations.
- If you use the Firefox Browser, the easiest way to add new torrents is with the Fonera Downloader Add-On.
