WiFi
From FON Wiki Beta
WiFi is a term used to describe the underlying technology of wireless local area networks (WLAN) based on the IEEE 802.11 specifications. A person with a WiFi device, such as a computer, telephone, or PDA can connect to the Internet when in proximity of an Access Point. The great thing about WiFi is that it allows you to connect the Internet without cables, giving you greater freedom of movement either throughout your house, office, or outside.
