WiFi Ads, or simply 10 free minutes of Internet

Simply want to check your emails or test a FON Spot? No problem! We introduced the 'WiFi Ads', so 'Aliens' can see that they are well come by Foneros. Thanks to this feature, 'Aliens' can watch a short advertisement and get 10 free minutes Internet.

When is this useful? not always do you need Internet for a whole day, perhaps you're on holidays and you only want to fetch your emails or send one. Perhaps the signal of the FON Spots where you can connect to seem a bit weak, and you'd like to test them before you activate a day pass.

• Notes: WiFi Ads can be viewed once every 10 days. A Flash-Player is required.

What must I do, to use the 10 free minutes of Internet?

• Click on the FREE 10 MIN. TRIAL button on the lower left side of FON's captive portal.

• Log in using your FON account details (email and password). If this is the first time at a FON Spot, you can create your FON account immediately and become a Fonero.

• FON's WiFi Ad (a short commercial) will start playing. It's necessary to have a Adobe Flash Player installed to use this offer.

• Once the video has finished playing a "Continue" button will be shown. Click it just once.

• A countdown showing the remaining connection time will appear and you will be able to browse.

NOTE: In certain Countries it is necessary to confirm your FON account through a (first) purchase of any kind. The easiest & cheapest way is purchasing a pass thorugh SMS. Whenever such confirmation is required you will be informed. Purchasing a day pass, a 5 day passes pack (or any other product) will have the same effect of course.

Countries needing a verified FON Account

In some countries it is necessary to first authenticate your alien FON account using a single purchase - the easiest & cheapest method is with an SMS for a one hour pass. When necessary you'll be prompted to do so, but purchasing a day pass or a 5 day pack will have the same effect off course.

What benefits does a Bill have from the WiFi Ads?

Bills receive 5 cent for each WiFi Ads connection. At the moment we only show short ads about FON. If we sell add space the future, the Bills will also get part of this revenues. For the moment it's a great way to promote FON and your FON Spot.
