Works with Myplace

  • Service Pack 1 fixes:
    • Issue with profiles (fixed in SP1) 
Prior to SP1 one will see MyPlace, Myplace1, myplace2... or something alike
  • Might need to disable IPv6 on computer

Works with FON_FREE_INTERNET

  • Works with FON_AP but will popup with "Unsecure wireless connection"
  • When connected to FON_AP the Myplace will not show up and vice versa!

How To 

DELL support
  • Click on Windows icon (Which used to be the Start button on the previous windows generation)
  • Choose Network
  • At the top choose network and sharing center
  • Tasks -> Connect to a network
  • Select a network to connect to : FON_FREE_INTERNET
  • Click on "Connect Anyway ...information sent over ..."
  • click on checkboxes
    • [x] Save this network
    • [x] Start this connection automatically
  • Click on Connect

Issues

  • When coming back from SLEEP or HIBERNATION modus the Vista Wireless can be broken due to broken power managment features of certain wired/wireless brands/models... You can disable powersaving of your wireless card...We even recommend it
